We've revamped our discount scheme to allow you to take advantage of our quieter dining periods and to reward you for booking online. Privilege Card holders can now enjoy the following dining discounts:
As usual, there's no special menu or restriction on dining times and you don't have to book in advance. Discounts apply to food served in the restaurant only and are not applicable with any other offers or during December.

Our favourite local theatre, Southwark Playhouse, is showing The Archbishop's Ceiling by Arthur Miller throughout May. Set in an Eastern European city in the 1970s, in a room that may or may not be bugged, this modern classic deals with the thorny issue of surveillance. If you haven't visited this atmospheric courtyard theatre yet we strongly recommend it. Described by Time Out as a 'minor powerhouse', it offers West End quality theatre in an intimate friendly environment at an unbelievable price. If you can hear the champagne corks popping its because Bankside is in the running for an Orange Business Award. We're up for Small to Medium Size Business of the Year in the South East regional finals! The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 8 July where we're vying with three other companies for this top industry award. If we win we'll go on to the National finals to compete for the ultimate accolade of National Small to Medium Business of the Year. We're delighted to be recognized as a leading small business and attribute it to our combination of high quality product and service combined with strong business ethics. Wish us luck for the finals! | Leap Learning Festival - 12 July |

London South Bank University is holding a free learning festival in July, giving young people the opportunity to participate in varied career workshops - ranging from DJing to Digital photography. Bankside Restaurant is involved and is offering two workshops: Catering Three wannabe Jamie Olivers will get the chance to join the kitchen staff for a day and receive practical advice on preparing quality meals. Hospitality and Tourism Eight participants will be able to quiz Kelvin about the restaurant industry before learning how to mix cocktails with professional waiters. They will then to transported to the London Eye to get a bird's eye view of how the areas has been developed into a leading tourist area. A river cruise will round off the event.
All workshops are free but a high demand is anticipated so book early!

eyecandy Photography Exhibition |

We have a colorful selection of new photographs in the restaurant entitled eyecandy. It's a collaboration by several artists making up the where they meet every few months to exchange information and ideas. The exhibition reflects the diverse range of styles and interests that each member brings to the group, including travel, reportage, portraiture, fine art and horticulture. Prints can be bought direct from the photographers and a percentage will be given to local charity Action for Blind People. Phone numbers, email and website addresses will be listed at the show and prices vary according to the work. |
