Free Cheese and wine
evening |
 |
Fancy joining us for a complimentary cheese
and wine evening?
Then read on...
In a further quest to be environmentally-friendly we've
begun using an amazing new cleaning product at Bankside that
contains absolutely no chemicals or toxins. Produced by a company
called enjo, it saves money, is better for your health and
works wonderfully.
We're so impressed that we want to give our customers the
opportunity to try it too - so we've arranged for an enjo consultant
to do a free demonstration in the brasserie.
The demo will only last a few minutes, they'll be
absolutely no presure to buy (or help us with the cleaning!)
and we'll even lay on complimentary cheese and wine
as an extra incentive to come along.
So, if your New Year's resolution is to be kinder to the planet;
you want to save some money or you just fancy a evening out on us,
then come and join us.
- Time: from 5pm to 7pm
- Date: Wednesday 10 March
- Place: Bankside brasserie
- There's no need to book a place - just
drop in at any time between 5 and
7pm

Two tickets for a
Tenner at Southwark Playhouse |
 |
A new production called Markings comes to local
Southwark Playhouse theatre this month. Set in Morcambe
Bay, it explores love and pain through three generations of
one family. Directed by Tamara Harvey, who will also be directing
Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare's Globe later this year,
it has just received great reviews in Edinburgh.
The Playhouse is offering privilege card holders
two tickets for £10 for performances of Markings on
2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 March - that's a £10 saving
on normal prices. Plus, as the Playhouse is minutes
away from Bankside Restaurant, just present your ticket receipt
after the show in our bar and we'll give you a half price
drink of your choice!

'My Melissa'
Cocktails - just £2.00 |
 |

General Manager John Page has joined the world of sleepless
nights and dirty nappies. His partner Christine gave birth to
a beautiful baby girl Melissa on Tuesday 3 February, weighing
in at a healthy 7lb 2oz.
Continuing the Bankside tradition of wetting the baby's head,
we've commissioned Bobby, our 'barman extraordinaire', to conjure
up a very special celebratory 'My Melissa Cocktail'. This
intoxicating combination of rum, triple sec, havana club,
fresh lime, pineapple juice and a dash of grenadine comes served
over crushed ice.
My Melissas will normally cost £4.00 a glass, but throughout
March they'll be just £2.00 each, with all proceeds going to
our charity, Action for Blind People.
(Valid for privilege card holders and up to one guest upon
quotation of 'cocktail offer''.)

| Discounted Oz
Clarke Wine Tastings at Vinopolis |

Calling all wine buffs! Vinopolis

led by wine supremo Oz Clarke. Two sessions are taking place
on Saturday 17 April, at 3pm and 5pm respectively. The personalised
tour lasts 45 minutes and includes 5 tastings, following which
you are invited to participate in the normal tour and taste
an additional 5 wines.
The event normally costs £35 but Bankside privilege members who
book by 31 March quoting 'Bankside Restaurant offer' will
save £5, bringing the price down to £30.

Bankside waitress Consuelo tied the
knot on Saturday 21 February to her sweetheart Stephen. The
wedding took place at Fulham Registry office, following which
the wedding party came to Bankside Restaurant for the celebratory
'wedding breakfast'.
Consuelo looked stunning in a beautiful Monsoon lace
dress, carried off by a delicate bunch of ivory roses.
The champagne flowed in the Bankside brasserie, we laid on a
handsome buffet and, strangely enough, staff didn't object to
coming in on their day off to help Consuelo and Stephen celebrate!
