Graham Mackenzie addressing the haggis
|
We love any opportuntity for a party at Bankside
so we celebrated Burns Night in January with a special Scottish
supper. The three-course feast included haggis, neeps and
tatties plus plenty of drams of J&B Scotch whisky. Scottish
actor Graham Mackenzie, immaculately presented in his best kilt
and sporron, recited Burns poetry to the guests and provided the
official 'Address to the Haggis':
Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care, And dish them out their
bill o fare, Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware That jaups in
luggies: But, if ye wish her gratefu prayer, Gie her a
Haggis!
Kelvin fell shy of sporting the Macdonald kilt - but there's
always next year... |
