New Range of Great Value Wines |

We've just launched a fantastic new wine range that diners are already raving about. Why? Because they look and taste great, are fantastic value for money and, as they're served in attractive reusable glass bottles, they're environmentally friendly too. So, what's the secret?! We strive at Bankside to combine quality with affordability. We knew we'd got it right with our food, the challenge was to find some great value wines to match this promise. So we installed a state-of-the-art dispensing system and scoured the wine regions looking for some high quality wine to complement it. We've come up with the following six lovely wines served in generous litre bottles, or a versatile half-litre option. We haven't stinted on quality and prices start at the equivalent of £1.50 a glass, making them amazingly good value!
Come and try them out for yourself - we promise you'll be impressed!

Dinner with Prince Charles |

Kelvin Macdonald was a guest of Prince Charles at Clarence House in March. He was one of a small party invited in recognition of their support of a charity called Gifted and Talented. The charity exists to help gifted pupils receive the extra educational support necessary to bring out their talents. Bankside Restaurant's involvement includes sponsorship of a minibus to transport Southwark pupils to the Prince's Drawing Academy in the City. The restaurant will also be hosting an exhibition later in the year where drawings will be auctioned to raise funds for the scheme Kelvin was seated opposite Camilla Parker Bowles at the dinner, who he described as warm and friendly. He also spent several minutes chatting to Prince Charles. "This was a once in a life-time kind of thing which I thoroughly enjoyed," said Kelvin.

A Successful Enjo Event |

A cheese and wine evening held in March to demonstrate environmentally-friendly Enjo cleaning products was a huge success. Several local residents and employees came along to find out more about the unique cleaning cloths and gloves whose advanced fibre-based technology eliminates the need for detergents or chemicals in cleaning. The demonstration was hosted by Linnette Isaacs who is introducing Enjo to this country.
