Fire in the hole
The winning team in our City cocktail competition was ‘The Drunk Monks’ from Morely Fund Management; Amanda Sillars, Catherine Kelson, Russell De Cogan, Tim Tanner and Alex McIntyre. They produced this delicious new cocktail which is now on our menu.
Amanda Sillars commented:
"Fire in the hole is an extraordinary blend of the finest of ingredients. A twisted and lustful blend of whiskey, infused with freshly squeezed lime, complimented by sweet orange and chocolate liqueurs, over crushed ice, finished with a dash of strawberry ... you'll be forgiven for thinking you're in a tropical paradise. Not to be consumed in moderation."
The recipe
This sumptuous new cocktail is made of the following ingredients:
- 1 shot Johnny Walker Black (25ml)
- 1 triple sec
- 1 creme de cocoa
- 1/2 lime squeezed
- Dash of strawberry liqueur
Shake the main ingredients together, pour over 10oz rock glass of crushed ice then add a dash of strawberry liqueur. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
