EXCLUSIVE TO BANKSIDE

Eat at Bankside SE1 and watch The Canterbury Tales performed along the actual streets the pilgrims trod...

28th June - 10th July 2005 (excluding Fridays)

Bankside Restaurants has teamed up with Southwark Playhouse in this exclusive opportunity to watch Chaucer's epic poem, brought to life in a vibrant modern adaptation that places the tales on the streets the pilgrims trod.

Privilege Card Holders can purchase tickets for the special rate of £22 (usually £25), which includes a meal (served between 5.30pm and 7pm at Bankside SE1) and a ticket to watch The Canterbury Tales, performed on the actual Pilgrim's Way (7.15pm until approx. 10.30pm).

Actors will collect you from the restaurant and take you to the starting point of the performance, outside the George Inn on Borough High Street. Southwark Playhouse will take you along the actual Pilgrims Way, via the back streets, parks and famous sites of Borough, culminating outside Southwark Cathedral.

Tickets cannot be purchased anywhere else - this is an exclusive opportunity to Bankside Restaurants. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

To book your tickets, call Bankside SE1 by phone on 020 7633 0011 or via our website. Quote 'THE CANTERBURY TALES' when you book. Payment will be requested upon booking.

Back to Basics Free Day Out - learn about jewels, gems and cooking vegetables at Holts Jewellery School and Bankside

Do you fancy it?

Winner and runners up in last year's Evening Standard/Carlton London Business of the Year (Community Category) - Bankside Restaurants are partnering with Holts Jewellery School to offer Privilege Card Holders a unique day out, free of charge, this summer.

The day will start at the only jewellery school of its kind in the UK (leaders in jewellery design since 1948), Holts Jewellery School in Hatton Garden. You will be invited to explore and learn about the world of jewels and gems and perhaps even try your hand at making jewellery yourself.  The aim of the morning will be to enlighten you on any of the jewels you own and even try to make them look new again.

In the afternoon you will be invited to Bankside to their 'back to basics' cooking session. Learn how vegetables really should be cooked, to gain maximum flavour and taste.

Click here to register your interest, with any preferences for the day of the week and any ideas of what you would be particularly interested to learn. This will enable us to organise the day according to the volume of possible attendees, so that you get maximum value from the day.
