Family treat at Bankside SE1...

Treat your Mother to a fabulous Sunday lunch with a delectable menu at SE1. Traditional roast dinners and other main courses are on offer, so there is plenty of choice. There is also a children's menu and children's entertainment.

SE1 will be open from 12pm until 5pm every Sunday from and including 26th March.

Plum vine tomato and mozzarella salad with red pesto and aged balsamic dressing

Smooth duck liver parfait with a fruit jelly, orange salad and toasted ciabatta

Country Kerry oak smoked salmon and smoked trout roulade with a cucumber and dill salad, granary bread

Roasts

Leg of lakeland lamb with a red currant and mint gravy

Leg of British saddle back pork with apple sauce

Half a corn fed chicken with herb stuffing bread sauce

Mains

Fillet of salmon on Pearl Barley, spinach and mascarpone risotto with sauce vierge

Herb crust fillet of cod on crushed new potatoes with a saffron and fennel broth

Roast pumpkin, butternut squash & spinach Wellington with cherry tomatoes and basil sauce

Desserts

Warm sticky toffee pudding with a vanilla ice cream

Dark chocolate and rum tart with a passion fruit syrup

Fresh fruit salad with chantilly cream

Childrens Menu

Sausages, chicken goujons or battered fish served with mashed potato or chips and peas, baked beans or salad

Jelly and Ice cream or fresh fruit salad

St Patrick's Day

This year St Patrick's Day falls on a Friday, allowing all of us to celebrate in style without worrying about how we will get up for work the next day!

Join us for a drink at the bar and then dine out on our traditional Irish 3 course menu for £25 (if you book in advance) or £30 on the night (without a reservation).

The delicious menu includes:

County Kerry smoked trout with a warm potato and chive pancake

Irish lamb neck stew, braised vegetables and herb dumplings

Irish whisky poached pear with a sweet toffee and hazelnut sauce

Opera, Wine tasting and Gourmet meal at Bankside EC2

Tuesday 9th May, Bankside EC2

On Tuesday 9th May, visit Bankside EC2 for a civilised evening of opera, wine tasting and a gourmet meal.

The evening will start at 7.30pm to 8pm. If you wish to arrive earlier, you are welcome to sit in the bar area with a drink.

Bankside have organised a solo performance of opera, to be performed between courses and wine tasting to create an exclusive and stylish gourmet evening.

Tickets will cost £45 per person. More details will follow in next month's e-news.

Theatre Meal Deal

Bankside SE1 in partnership with Southwark Playhouse...

Bankside continues to team up with Southwark Playhouse to offer fantasic meal and theatre deals throughout the first half of 2006 (up to May 23rd 2006).

Privilege Card Holders can visit Bankside SE1 for a 2 course meal and visit Southwark Playhouse for just £20 (price excludes drinks).
